This house was built for the client and their extended family on beachfront property that had long been in the family. While small, this home had to accommodate extended visits and large family gatherings. Covered spaces outside allow expansion of activities and blur the distinction between indoor and outside. Long site lines, a dramatic arch, post and beam detailing, and ridge skylights make the great room feel much larger than its actual size.
